Civil Wedding Ceremonies

We have a growing number of civil ceremonies in our hotel which we really enjoy! Why not invite your closest family and friends to our Hotel for your wedding ceremony.

If you have a date in mind, please contact the Registrar (+353 21 4270508)and they check if they have a registrar available on that date to perform your ceremony and then contact us to see if our hotel is available.

The following are the general rules for a civil ceremony. 'A civil ceremony can be held in a registry office or some other venue that is approved by a registrar. A registrar will also have to be available to solemnise the marriage. If you want to get married in a venue (ie. Gougane Barra Hotel) other than the registry office you should contact the registry office for the district the venue is located in, to arrange to have it approved.'

We are in the Cork district and the address is Washington St., Cork, the number is +353 21 427 0508, if there is a registrar available on the date you have in mind they will come and inspect the venue prior to that, to see if it is acceptable to perform the ceremony, and there will be some forms to fill in and a fee to pay.
