Gougane Barra Hotel is a comfortable and relaxing family-run hotel. Its' magical lakeside location, in a valley surrounded by mountains add to the great "get away from it all factor" which is very strong here. Gougane Barra is a very special place, and, until you make the journey, you won't realise just how special it is.
Our hotel has 26 bedrooms all en-suite with lake or mountain views. The rooms have direct dial phone, television, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Visitors to Gougane Barra enjoy relaxing in our sitting rooms and bar or maybe take a ramble in the National Park or a gentle row in the boat on the lake, all at your own pace.
The hotel enjoys access to a naturally stocked brown trout lake with boats available to guests. With it's unspoilt country location, we can advise on the best walking, cycling, fishing and the many places worth visiting in the area.
