St Finbarr's Pilgrim Walk from Drimoleague to Gougane Barra takes place over two days - Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April 2020.
While this captivating medieval path is open all year, it will be even more accessible as there will be knowledgeable local guides, and you will have the support and camaraderie of a group.
The walk starts at the Top of the Rock Pod-Park in Drimoleague and finishes at St. Finbarr's hermitage in Gougane Barra.
Follow in the footsteps of Saint Finbarr who visited Drimoleague in the 6th century, passing through Kealkill, taking in part of the Carriganass walks on the way.
The walk arrives at Gougane Barra by way of the Beara Breifne Way, a steep and spectacular descent, with the hermitage of St Finbarr visible below in its serene lake island setting.
