St Finbarr's Pilgrim Walk from Drimoleague to Gougane Barra takes place over two days - Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April 2019.
While this captivating medieval path is open all year, it will be even more accessible as there will be knowledgeable local guides, and you will have the support and camaraderie of a group. The walk starts at the Top of the Rock Pod-Park in Drimoleague and finishes at St. Finbarr's hermitage in Gougane Barra.
Follow in the footsteps of Saint Finbarr who visited Drimoleague in the 6th century, passing through Kealkill, taking in part of the Carriganass walks on the way. The walk arrives at Gougane Barra by way of the Beara Breifne Way, a steep and spectacular descent, with the hermitage of St Finbarr visible below in its serene lake island setting.
Cost of €25 includes lunch, bus and guides for both days.

The August Finbarr's Contemplative Walk will take place on the 17th & 18th of August 2019; the same terms as the Easter walk apply to this.
